Abiotic Factors in the Marine Biome!
There are many abiotic factors in the marine biome such as: sodium chloride (table salt),oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide (dissolved gasses). Organic substances that are dissolved in water such as: remains of dead marine organisms, and vitamins.
pH is another important abiotic factor in the marine biome, because its vital to the survival of all aquatic organisms, and if the pH level is either to acidic or too basic organisms would not be able to survive, much less flourish into healthy populations.
There is no rainfall in the marine biome, the soil (or sands) in the marine biome include: sand (crushed coral, and rocks), rocks, coral, and dirt. The climate in the marine biome varies from -40 degrees fahrenheit to over 100 degrees. The average temperature is 39 degrees fahrenheit, but it is warmer near the equator. The marine biome also consist of a diversity of aquatic flora, and fauna.
